Father Markos Hanna
He was born on July 18, 1953 in Cairo, Egypt. In 1970, he and his parents moved to the United States where he immediately began serving as a decon and later became a youth leader.
In 1975, Father markos attended the University of Southern California where he received his Bachelors of Science in Chemistry, Mettalurgy. Upon his graduation, he was nominated by the late Bishop Aghathon of Ismailia, fr. Bishoy Gobreial, and the board of committee of the church for the priesthood in 1987.
He was ordained to the priesthood by His Holiness Pope Shenouda III on Februaury 19, 1988. His Holiness assigned him the name "Markos", for he said, "you will be the first priest by the name Markos in the USA, you will serve in St. Mark Church of Los Angeles, and since you translate many books, God will give you the spirit of St. Mark to evangelize".
He began his service in St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church of Los Angeles in April of 1988. He was then transfered in 2002 to serve as a general priest until he was permanently assigned by His Grace Bishop Serapion to serve Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church, Simi Valley in February of 2006.
Father Jeremiah Said
He was born on September 12,1981 in Portsaid,Egypt. He earned a bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical sciences at Ain Shams University, Cairo,Egypt in 2004.
He attended the servant preparation course for 2 years at St.Mary church in El-Nozha El-Gedida, Egypt, then he served as a sunday school teacher for middle school, a deacon and a choir member.
He moved to the states in 2007. He worked as a pharmacist for 13 years.
He served at Archangel Michael church in Simi Valley as a sunday school teacher, Hymns teacher and a choir member.
He was ordained by HE Metropolitan Serapion as an Archdeacon on November 24,2017 at St. Mina, Riverside and then a priest on November 26,2017 at Archangel Michael Church in Simi Valley.
